Terrain played a leading role at this year’s World Forum for Foreign Direct Investment, held from June 16 to 18 in Philadelphia. Organized by Terrain’s sister company Red Hot Locations, the World Forum is the leading annual event on international corporate investment and attracts over 300 representatives of multinational companies and government investment promotion agencies from all sectors and from all continents to exchange views on key topics affecting international corporate expansion and location decisions.

Terrain’s managing director Andreas Dressler moderated three panels during the conference, including a discussion on the impact of energy on corporate investment as well as a panel exploring the role of cybersecurity and data privacy on FDI. Participants in the panel discussions included senior executives from Braskem, Sasol, Equinix and other companies. Prior to the Forum, Andreas Dressler also held a one-day training workshop on “How to attract U.S. investment to your location”, which was attended by over 20 North American representatives of investment promotion agencies from Europe, Asia and Latin America.
