For the second year running, Terrain’s managing director Andreas Dressler participated in the Site Selectors Guild’s annual conference, which was held this year in Denver, Colorado from February 24 to 26. The Site Selectors Guild is the only association of the world’s leading site selection consultants. Guild members provide location strategy to corporations across the globe and for every industry, sector, and function. Members are peer-nominated, vetted, and must demonstrate a significant amount of location advisory experience.

At this year’s conference, Andreas Dressler was one of the participants in a panel discussion with Joel Kotkin, a well-known urban demographer and regular contributor to Forbes and other publications on demographic, economic, political, and social trends. The discussion focused on the demographic factors shaping the competitiveness of regions, cities and countries and the impact of demographic trends on the attractiveness of business locations. Andreas Dressler also participated in a workshop on the topic of “workforce” where he focused on the challenges of measuring and comparing workforce attributes as part of location analysis projects.
