Terrain’s managing director Andreas Dressler held a presentation at the Red Hot Locations FDI Marketing and Communications Seminar, which took place in London on September 26 and 27, 2012. Participants included senior management and marketing executives from the investment promotion agencies of a number of locations including the Netherlands, Scotland, Spain, Latvia, Oman, Flanders and Virginia.
Terrain’s presentation, entitled “Marketing as part of an integrated investment attraction strategy”, provided practical advice for the participating agencies on how to differentiate their locations, command the attention of corporate decision makers and maximize their returns on marketing. The presentation drew on our experience assisting agencies to develop effective FDI marketing and attraction strategies.
Andreas Dressler also moderated two panel discussions over the course of the seminar, including a lively dialogue with place branding specialist Simon Anholt on the advantages and challenges of creating a nation brand.
